Kids

We have lots of programs for children at Grove Park Chapel! It is our hope that by creating a fun, exciting environment where kids can experience God in new ways, church will be a place your kids can’t wait to get to each week. On Sunday mornings during our 11:00 service, SONshine zone welcomes kids ages 3-12 to explore the Bible through hands-on activities, music, storytelling, videos, crafts, and group discussions. During the week, half-day preschool is offered Monday-Thursday for ages 2-5. In addition to providing an excellent educational experience, our preschool ministry aims to share the message of Jesus Christ. Throughout the year, GPC also offers several big events for children throughout our community like Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat, Kids Movie Nights, and Family Christmas.

Students

We believe that the youth should be a vital and active part of the church. We aim to reach students with the truth of God’s Word and teach them how to live out their faith in everyday life. While we certainly understand that the spiritual instruction of a young person is mainly the duty of parents, we desire to come alongside parents in the process of teaching and guiding their son or daughter. Our youth ministry is focused on helping students grow to maturity in:

KNOWLEDGE: Coming to a deeper understanding of God and the Bible
ACTION: Showing Christ to others through intentional acts of love and service
CHARACTER: Becoming more Christ-like every day

We believe it is important for students to meet with each other regularly in order to build Christ-centered friendships and encourage one another in their faith (Heb. 3:13). Our church is open throughout the year for youth to gather for fun events like basketball scrimmages and movie nights as well as more serious events like prayer nights and Bible studies to encourage students in their faith. We encourage youth to get involved in the church by volunteering and serving in our kid’s ministry, worship ministry, or on our welcome team.

Women

Women's ministry at our church is designed to foster close connections with women who come from all kinds of different backgrounds and who have the same goal of serving Christ. Our main goal for the women’s ministry at our church is for it to be a place where anyone in our congregation can grow closer to community while ultimately growing closer to Christ. Grove Park Chapel has many opportunities for women to get involved like our women’s Sunday school class, the sunshine ministry (spreading a little sunshine to our shut-ins), and our ladies’ banquet.

Men

The purpose of our men’s ministry is expressed in Colossians 1:28 “That we may present every man complete in Christ.” By meeting together, sharing meals, walking through curriculum, studying the Word, and simply doing life with one another, the men in our congregation have a safe place where they can get connected with the resources, support, and friendships to help them live fuller lives in Christ. There are many ministry opportunities and activities for men at Grove Park Chapel. These include our men’s Sunday school class, 3M on Monday evenings, handyman ministries, Samaritan’s Purse aid trips, and much more.

Choir

Our choir is a diverse and inclusive community made up of people of all ages, life stages, and singing abilities. Whether you are an experienced vocalist or simply love to sing, we would love for you to join us! United by a shared desire to worship God, we use music to glorify Him and to spread the joy, hope, and love of Christ to our church family and the wider community. Through song, we seek not only to grow together but also to inspire others and reflect God’s grace. We meet most Sunday evenings throughout the year to practice for our annual Easter Musical and Christmas Musical.

Thru-The-Bible

Every Wednesday at 6:00 is a time for fellowship and learning as we travel through the Bible from Genesis to Revelations, a few chapters each week. There is a Question and Answer time as well as an in-depth discussion of each chapter - an invaluable combination. People of all ages are welcome to join us as we meet together to build each other up and encourage one another as we strive to know God more.
